Award Winning Work
We have some exciting news to share on behalf of our partners at Scotty’s House! If you’re unfamiliar with Scotty’s House’s incredible work, they are a non-profit Child Advocacy Center serving seven counties in the Brazos Valley. Scotty’s House collaborates with Child Protective Services and law enforcement officials with child abuse cases. Their compassionate and collaborative approach is key to providing families of abuse or neglect with safety, healing, and justice.
Little did we know, our work with Scotty’s House would go on to win THREE industry awards (so far!). We won two MarCom Awards: global awards “honoring excellence in marketing and communication, while recognizing the creativity, hard work and generosity of industry professionals.” We were honored with two Golds: one for Website: Non-profit and one for Pro Bono work! We were also honored with a Communitas Award in the category of Excellence in Community Service: Company Community Service – Pro Bono. The Communitas Awards is “an international effort to recognize exceptional businesses, organizations and individuals that are unselfishly giving of themselves and their resources, and those that are changing how they do business to benefit their communities.”
That’s not the only thing we’re celebrating at Satori! We’re also celebrating Scotty’s House’s newest development: Paws for Hope, a program created to help make Scotty’s House a more comforting environment for the kids and their family, utilizing a trained facility dog, also known as Sawyer! Scotty’s House has allowed Satori to take the marketing reigns to Paws for Hope and it’s been paw-some.
The Pup
This is Sawyer III; he’s almost three years old, loves the Aggies, treats, and his green GoughNuts Stick. Sawyer was an Honor Roll student at the Canine Companions for Independence. He has been trained to always remain calm and friendly so he can provide humans peace and comfort. Sawyer has been on the job at Scotty’s House for a few weeks now and is getting to know many of the families of the Brazos Valley.
We feel privileged to be a part of the Paws for Hope campaign, however the biggest honor is working with Sawyer. Meeting Sawyer was a highlight of our year. His ability to make you smile with a wet kiss or make you laugh as he slowly slides into his ‘down’ position makes all of our hard work, worth it. We hope that through our creative messaging and branding, the Brazos Valley community will learn more about what Scotty’s House has to offer.
FYI – If there are any other dog-related potential clients out there reading this: We’re in. No questions asked. We. Are. In.
